  1. just be who you are, stay true to yourself - sometimes I wonder what certain judges are hearing - Simon is wrong many times - Randy is a politician - Ellen is great and adds something special to the show - Kara is confused most of the time.............just keep going, you're great!!!

  2. Seriously, what are the judges even hearing!?!

I don't agree with one word from Simon and Kara. Vocally, this is one of the best this year and my favorite Siobhan performance since Paint it Black!

  3. Absolutely brilliant. The only performance that was interesting, had me smiling with anticipation. You are not the ordinary packaged singer performer that the producers of Idol want. The judges are no doubt programmed to what is marketable. Keep smiling through the critiques and don't feel desparate. There is life beyond reality TV. It's called the real world and you have a talent for many a intelligent heartfelt audience! ps, I really like the look you had when you sang Wicked Game.

  4. Siobhan,
My 2 cents going forward: try to pick some songs with some interesting harmonies, already written in or what you can create. Much of the Elvis catalog does not have that possibility. It all relied on his stage presence. Also, what I notice is the look on your face now vs. at the beginning when you hear the judge's comments. At the beginning you looked happier, lighter and you took the judge's comments in stride without being weighted down by them. Now you look much more concerned, like the judge's have it all figured out. They don't. Don't buy in to that. You have a GREAT sense about how to dress and perform a song. You have a HUGE voice. What I think is missing is a greater sense of harmony and ensemble. Add the sweet and the bittersweet harmony elements. You'll knock 'em out. Go get' em. signed, A HUGE fan.

  5. Your 'Elvis' performance. It was Everest...The Top. Don't know why Kara and Simon are hung up on "artist identity." Just saw the results California time. Congratulations Siobhan. Although I'm sure you'll finish 'in the money' it's comforting to hear Ryan say "Siobhan, you are safe." I feel bad for Katie. I don't like "The Save."

  6. Hi Siobhan,
For your inspirational song choice, you might like to check out Portuguese fado: Dulce Pontes singing Cancao do Mar (Youtube song for(of) the sea). I think there is an English version (sarah brightman - but you would be better. It is a song wives/lovers sing for their husbands safe return from the cruel seas. Low soft sounds ranging to high and very emotional. A guaranteed hit for you.
    best regards steve

  7. Siobhan: I think is time for you to do a Broadway inspirational song i.e. I Dreamed a Dream. I know that Susan Boyle [Simon's latest gal] sang it but with your theatrical background you can pull it off!!! Think about it.

  9. Siobhan, it was mentioned on the AI forums and if you feel comfortable with it you should perform Bon Jovi's "It's My Life" and just rock it out like we all know you can. It would be epic!!!

  10. I tried voting for you from Plymouth, MA and they said the number was changed. It is a conspiracy I'd say. Anyway I finally had to text in my vote.I could not just give up Good luck. You are the best one on the show by far. Totally original.

  11. I don't have a clue what the judges were hearing when they critiqued this Elvis cover poorly. It was very good, and I'm no pushover. My wife often complains that I am too critical of the performances, and I found NOTHING wrong with this one, but I found a whole lot of amazing. Siobhan (good Irish name, BTW), ignore the judges and do your own thing. You are going to hit a home run 95% of the time. No one does it all the time, not even established pros.
    Slainte.

  14. perfect perfect perfect.....the song is made for 2 distinct parts...I think the judges need some schooling..

Loved the first part, loved the middle, loved the end...

and also the Elvis homage with the look....

    Best of the night

  15. Josh Gorban's song "You raise me up" would be up Siobhan's alley. She has the ability to make heads spin. Her vocals are amazing. Anyway, my vote is on you!!
